Who we are
Ask Showcase Studio (“Ask Showcase”, “we”, “us”) is a visual marketing studio based in Algarve, Portugal. This policy applies to https://www.askshowcase.com and the Ask Showcase studio. For privacy questions write to hello.askshowcase@gmail.com.
Google user data and Limited Use
Ask Showcase’s use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Google user data is used only to provide and improve user-facing features of Ask Showcase: signing in, connecting a Google or YouTube account, publishing and scheduling content you ask us to send, showing you analytics for those accounts, and helping you with support. We do not sell Google user data. We do not use it for advertising, including retargeting, personalised ads, or ads measurement. We do not allow humans to read Google user data unless you give us permission, it is needed for security or to comply with law, or the data is aggregated and can no longer identify you. Access tokens are stored encrypted and used only by authorised system functions that perform the action you requested.
When YouTube is connected, use of that integration is also subject to the YouTube Terms of Service and Google Privacy Policy.
Data we collect
- Google account email — the address on the Google account you use to sign in or connect.
- Google profile information — name, profile photo and language Google shares with the app you authorise.
- YouTube channel information — channel id, title, thumbnail and publishing permissions needed to upload or schedule videos you send through Ask Showcase.
- Social media account metadata — page or account name, id, role and similar public metadata when you connect Facebook Pages, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok or another platform.
- User-generated content — videos, captions, images and drafts you upload or create in Ask Showcase.
- Account details you type yourself (name, email, password hash, business name) and technical logs needed to keep the service running (for example IP address on sign-in).
How data is used
- Authentication and account login.
- Connecting social media platforms you choose.
- Content publishing and scheduling to those platforms.
- Analytics and account management you can see in the studio.
- Customer support when you ask for help.
We process this data to perform the contract you make with us (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)), with your consent for optional connections and cookies (Art. 6(1)(a)), and where needed for legitimate interests such as securing the service (Art. 6(1)(f)).
How data is stored
- Secure cloud storage for accounts, content and connection records.
- Encrypted authentication tokens for Google and other connected platforms.
- Access restricted to authorised system functions that carry out the action you requested.
We keep data only while your account is open and as long as needed to provide the service or meet a legal duty. Content you delete is removed from active systems. Backups fall away on their normal rotation, at most 30 days after a deletion request is completed.
How data is shared
- Data is never sold.
- Data is only shared with connected platform APIs required to perform the services you asked for (for example Google, YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn or TikTok when you connect them).
- Data is disclosed only when legally required.
Hosting, email delivery and similar processors act on our instructions and may not use your data for their own purposes.
Your rights
- Request account deletion on the Data Deletion Request page.
- Disconnect integrations at any time in studio settings or on the connected platform.
- Request removal of stored data, including Google user data.

If you are in the EEA or UK you may also access, correct, restrict or port your data, and complain to a supervisory authority. In Portugal that is the CNPD.

Ask Showcase is for businesses. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that matters, we will update this page and the date above. Continued use after an update means you accept the new policy.
